Auburn University's flight school will continue

AUBURN, AL (WTVM)- The flight program at Auburn University appears to be safe.

University officials have announced plans to keep both the professional flight management and aviation degree programs.?

Its standing was in jeopardy after the only accredited professor left earlier this year. Now, they have hired quality instructors to keep the program going.

They are also looking at ways to raise funding for the program, including a potential increase in tuition and fees, and more support from the industry.

The university is also looking at making the program more attractive for potential pilots, applying for authority to comply with a new FAA rule.
